Vintage film poster spied on the wall in the tiny town of Karaikudi.
Big girl, you are beautiful. I love the fleshiness of yesteryear’s Indian film stars. Tamil films held out for longer than Bollywood. Unfortunately, the curvaceousness became more twigged out with (recent) Western beauty standards infiltrating first in the north and then slowly making their way southward. I believe big love in the south was more or less obliterated over the past decade.
The spicy film poster here is for Jungle Rani (Jungle Queen).
As an aside, is the curvaceous Tamil letter for “J” – ஜ – not one of the most beautiful letters in any language?
